2017 – JEEP WRANGLER OUTPOST II BY AEV

A few days before the Jeep introduced the new Wrangler 2018, experts at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) unveiled the Jeep Wrangler Outpost II at the SEMA Show 2017. This company based in the state of Montana wanted to say farewell to the previous generation of the iconic 4×4 creating a motorhome from the four-door model and the result could not be more spectacular. The idea came directly from Dave Harriton, the president of AEV, a brand that has built a reputation in the United States among the most adventurous thanks to its preparations and off-road accessories for travel. He wanted to demonstrate that his company was perfectly capable of creating a 4 × 4 motorhome based on the Jeep Wrangler, in the style of the works that are seen in Europe, Australia and South Africa. The result was called Jeep Wrangler Outpost II and unfortunately it was manufactured only the copy that illustrates the images and the video below. For the time being they discard more Jeep Wrangler Outpost II units, but that may change due to the great interest the vehicle is generating. Based on a previous-generation Wrangler Unlimited, with the idea of taking advantage of their longer wheelbase and full length to create a ‘habitable’ housing module, they cut the body just after the front doors and installed a platform that the main element of the vehicle. However, the most striking of the Wrangler Outpost II is the cabin, which makes it a motorhome capable of reaching almost anywhere. It includes an electric tilting roof that allows to remain standing inside and at the same time, serves as the basis for some solar panels. Of course there is not enough space to include a bathroom, but neither is something that this type of 4 × 4 vehicle usually includes.

What the vehicle counts on is a large refrigerator with freezer, which is accessible from both the inside and outside of the vehicle, which rests on a sliding tray that also includes the gas stove and the sink. It also has a water tank with 83 liters and multiple compartments to carry objects, which are also accessible from the outside. The Jeep Wrangler Outpost II features a suspension kit that increases the ground clearance by 11.4 centimeters, a high air intake, specific bumpers with integrated winches and a considerably more powerful engine. For the V6 to the original gasoline left its space to a new 5.7 HEMI V8 propeller that in addition to producing a spectacular sound, makes that it is notably faster than the model of series. Watch the video .

2017 – JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE TRAILHAWK

The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is currently the most extreme version of the American all-terrain. That’s if we look at the asphalt performance side, since if we want to get the most from off-road driving, the brand has just presented the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk at the New York Motor Show, the most prepared alternative to get off the road with asphalt. maximum guarantees. The Jeep Grand Cherokee thus follows the treadmill of other models like the Cherokee Trailhawk and the Renegade Trailhawk. The new Trailhawk finish adds to the already existing Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT and has a specific aesthetic. The front bumper was trimmed at the bottom to improve the angle of attack at the exit and was fitted with red hooks to tow or be towed. On the hood there is a matte black sticker that prevents reflections from the sun and the alloy wheels are 18 inches, although there are other 20-inch tires with Goodyear tires reinforced with kevlar. The front grille is different, with the frame of the seven grooves in matte black color. Inside the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk features a black leather and microfiber upholstery with contrasting red stitching. The inserts are in ‘Piano Black’ color and silver gray, as well as the Trailhawk emblems. The 8.4-inch screen of the Uconnect multimedia system can show a lot of information on off-road driving and the state of the vehicle. It has also been modified the selector of the automatic transmission, probably to avoid the problems that have already caused more than one accident. The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk offers an angle of attack of 29.8 degrees, which improves to 36.1 degrees if the bottom of the front bumper is disassembled. The exit angle is 27.1º, while the ventral angle is 22.8º. The ground clearance is 27 centimeters, thanks to a pneumatic suspension specifically developed for this model Trailhawk which has more courses in the suspension. Of course, there is no shortage of the Quadra-Drive II total traction system with reduced rear differential. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will hit American dealerships in the second half with three engines: the 3.0-liter V6 of 250 hp, the 3.6-liter V6 of 286 hp and the 5.7-liter V8 of 352 hp, all of them with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is not yet known when it will arrive in Brazil and with what specifications it will do.
